Following are three simple fish recipes you enjoy with your family when boating:
Butter Fish
This fish recipe is as simple as it gets. It requires a few ingredients and a dash of Tabasco sauce if you like a little heat.
Ingredients
- Fish Fillets (Fish of Your Choice)
- Butter (Softened): 1 Pound
- Lemon (Zest and Juice): 1
- Worcestershire Sauce: 2 Tablespoons
- Salt and Pepper (To Taste)
- Tabasco: 2 Teaspoon
For Garnish
- Fresh Coriander
- Roasted Peppers
Directions
- Turn on the grill to medium
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients. Spoon the compound butter into a Ziploc bag and refrigerate or place it in an icebox
- Place the fillets in a sheet of foil and cover each with 2 tablespoons of the compound butter.
- Wrap the fillets in the foil sheet. Make sure they don’t move on top of each other.
- Place the wrapped fillets on another foil sheet and fold it around gently.
- Place the foil packet on a grill and cook for 40 minutes
- Once the fish is done, remove it from the grill and slide on the skillet. Roast the veggies and sauté them in half a teaspoon of the compound butter
- Plate your fish and veggies and sprinkle with fresh coriander
Italian Style Fish
Want to give your fish a little kick? Then bring out the red wine bottle and pour a cup to make the sauce. This fish recipe will water your mouth when that fantastic aroma of spices rises from the grill.
Ingredients
- Fish Fillets (Fish of Your Choice): 4
- Small Onions (Sliced): 1
- Olive Oil: ¼ Cup
- Red Wine: ¼ Cup
- Garlic (Minced): 1 Teaspoon
- Worcestershire Sauce: 2 Tablespoons
- Dried Basil: ½ Teaspoon
- Salt and Pepper (To Taste)
- Rice (Cooked)
Directions
- Turn on the grill to medium
- Use aluminum foil to make two boats 20 inches long, and place the fillets in them.
- Cover the fillets with onions
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and pour the mixture over the fillets.
- Place the fillet boats on the grill and cook for 12 minutes
- When the fish turns opaque and develops a flake-like texture when broken with a fork, remove the fillet boats from the grill
- Plate the fillets and pour a spoonful of juices on the fish
- Serve with rice
Simple Boat Fish
If you are looking for a simple and quick fish recipe, this is the one you should try. To give it a unique taste, replace the sauces with steak sauce and enjoy a side of mashed potatoes and veggies.
Ingredients
- Fish Fillets (Fish of Your Choice): 4
- Salt and Pepper (To Taste)
- Butter: 1 Stick
- Steak Sauce: ¼ Cup
- Lemon Juice (Freshly Squeezed): ¼ Cup
- Paprika
- Frozen Vegetables
- Potatoes
Directions
- In a bowl, add butter and melt it on the grill
- Add in steak sauce, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika
- Use aluminum foil to make two boats, 20 inches long, and place the fillets in them
- Cover the fillets with the butter sauce
- Pinch the boats, leaving a small gap in the middle
- Place the boats on the grill and cool for 35 minutes
- Place the potatoes on the grill and cook for 15 minutes
- Place a skillet on the grill and sauté the frozen vegetables in butter
- Remove the potatoes from the grill and peel off the skin
- Mash them with a fork in a bowl and add butter, salt, and pepper
- Plate the fillets and serve with a side of mashed potato and veggies
